What do we offer?
With an emphasis on free standing contemporary designs, most work includes simple clean lines and gentle curves. We believe that a piece of wooden furniture should offer a lifetime of joy and pleasure, whether using it, touching it or just looking at it.
Working mainly with Cherry, Walnut, Oak, Maple, Beech, Ash and Pine we use a blend of traditional and modern construction techniques to translate the customer’s ideas into individual and unique furniture that fits its surroundings and fulfils its purpose.
How do we do it?
Much of our work is commissioned and that is divided into three key stages.
The process begins with a conversation or visit to discover what the customer would like. This discussion covers many aspects of the commission such as design, style, materials, function, location, size, timescale and budget.
These details are taken back to the design studio where two concept schemes are drawn up, accompanied by a guide on costs, for presentation.
One of these designs may need amending or a third design may need to be developed. Once the design is agreed the exact cost of the work will be given and an idea of when it will be ready for delivery.

- Finished with a clear lacquer for protection and to maximise the beauty of the wood
- Pieces can also be small, personalized for special gifts or even souvenirs
- All good craftsmen sign their work in some way and I chose a seahorse, facing to the right, as it is a similar shape to a stylish 'F' and may appear discreetly on our larger work. Some smaller work, however, may feature a 'double F' stamp mark instead
Other services
Repairs on wooden furniture are sometimes undertaken though it depends on the complexity of the work, as sometimes pieces need substantial dismantling to carry out repairs which may then not be cost effective.
